OneWebDay (OWD)

OneWebDay (OWD) is an annual event that dates back to 2006. Each year, September 22 is a day set aside for celebrating the Internet and its users around the world. The idea of OneWebDay is attributed to Susan Crawford, a member of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN.

People celebrate OneWebDay in many different ways. These may involve organizing events in real time that celebrate online use, promoting more broadly available Wi-Fi, presenting information about websites to an audience, or interacting with people in specific ways online.
