Quantum as a Service (QaaS)

Quantum as a service (QaaS) is a term for services that bring the functionality of quantum computing to clients through cloud delivery processes. This is part of a range of services based on the broader software as a service (SaaS) model.

Quantum computing is still in its infancy. Although much of the theory and operational detail has been solved for quantum computing, the actual use of this model is not widespread. However, where some research machines exist, quantum as a service allows the machine owners to farm out quantum computing setups to outside researchers or other parties to use on an on-demand basis.
The philosophy behind quantum computing is that by utilizing the qubit, which can superimpose binary positions, quantum computers can go far beyond what traditional computers have done and apply a much more higher-level functionality to artificial intelligence, machine learning and more.
