Malware infection and disabled Internet

Have you picked up a nasty malware infection on the Internet and now you can’t get on to the web to download a fix or the latest version of Malwarebytes to take care of the infection?  Most of the time this is due to the fact that the malware infection has enabled a proxy connection on your Internet explorer LAN settings.

Let me show you one way to re enable your Internet connection and where to look to do this.

Open up your Internet Explorer options.  You can get to these by way of “control panel” or typing inetcpl.cpl at a “run” menu.  Once there go to your “LAN Settings.”

Uncheck “use a proxy server for your LAN….” under the “Proxy Server” section:
